On The Border is a performance piece by the Kindred Folk Dance Company (formely Emily O'Shea Company).

Set in an undetermined era, On The Border looks at the Northern Irish border. The piece uses movement, storytelling and an overarching folk tale (written for the performance) to explore real stories gathered from the community.

On The Border is designed specifically for rural touring in non-traditional performance spaces.

Inspired by the literal act of collecting stories from the community; the design has a homely feel. In the round, the audience gather around the kitchen table to hear stories of life On The Border.
